2 .
John Whitehead, representing Bramalea Limited, stated that
he supports the application and was present to answer any
questions. He noted that if there are any concerns about
the proposed development that these concerns can be handled
through the site plan process. He stated that he is aware
that past development applications for this property have
not been welcomed by the community.
3.
Steve Chin, 604 Miranda Court, stated that he purchased his
house seven years ago and Bramalea promised then that the
subj ect lands would be a park. He is opposed to this
application.
4.
Deirdre Pickford, 1528 Amberlea Road, stated that she is
opposed to this development and is particularly opposed to
two accesses onto Amberlea Road. If these accesses are
allowed, too many cars will enter onto Amberlea Road and
the residents do not want this extra traffic. Accesses
should only be allowed onto Highview Drive or Whites Road.
.... 5 .
Dale Pearson, 750 Stonepath Circle, stated that he opposes
any high density development on this land due to the
traffic it would create. Most houses in the area are
single family dwellings and this development will not be
compatible.

6. Phil Frampton, 1810 Post Drive, stated that if this
development is approved, Bramalea Limited should understand
that there is no room in the area schools.
7. John Whitehead, representing Bramalea Limited, stated that
he is not aware that Bramalea Limited ever proposed a park
for the subject lands. A second access was felt to be
required because of the number of vehicles from the
proposed development and the third access at the north end
of the proposed development onto Amberlea Road is to be
used for utilities. The density of the project is
appropriate for the area and conforms to the Official
Plan. He noted that the Public School Board did not object
to this application and that the Separate School Board is
desperate for a site in this area.
8.
Neil Carroll, Director of Planning, stated that the
designation is "Community Central Area" which provides for
a higher density housing or mixed use commercial and he
noted that more access points provide for less traffic at
anyone spot.
