Kearns Director of Planning Manager, Current Operations Division Manager, Manager, Policy Division Coordinator of Council Services (I) ZONING BY-lAW AMENDMENT APPLICATION A8/93 PAUL, CALLERI (C.R. RICHARDS) PART OF LOT 2. PlAN 585 '-' 1. An explanation of the application, as outlined in Information Report No. 31/93, was given by Sharon Hill, Planning Technician 2. 2. Mr. Cliff Richards, 2670 Brock Road, applicant advised that all facilities, including runs, will be enclosed in a building. 3.a. Richard Wright, 2660 Brock Road stated his opposition to this proposal. He advised of his concern regarding the dogs getting loose and coming onto his property. He also advised that all wells in the area run dry at some point in the summer and he is concerned that there will not be enough water for the dogs. He commented that until a decision is made concerning the future of the area, the present by-law should not change. b. Gayle Kahn, R. R. #1, Brock Road requested infor~ation on the number of dogs proposed for the property and what the kennel is to be used for. She stated her concerns regarding noise and the amount of dog excrement. '- 4. Mr. Cliff Richards, applicant advised that the noise level will be minimal, due to the entire facility being within a building. There will be six dogs as permanent residents and the a possibility of 22 dogs boarding for a period of one to four weeks. (II) ZONING BY-lAW AMENDMENT APPLICATION A14/93 DR. E.A. SALMON PART OF LOT 32. RANGE 3. B.F.C. 1. An explanation of the application, as outlined in Information Report No. 30/93, was given by Colin Ramdia1, Planning Technician 1. y - 2 - 2. Dr. Salmon, applicant advised that this property was originally zoned Cl and was changed by Town Council a number of years ago. He is applying to have the zoning changed back to Cl to permit him to expand the list of currently permitted uses. He advised that the report states that the day nursery was allowed as a temporary use between June 26, 1989 and December 31, 1989 but it actually was in existence from 1987 to 1989 and had to be given up due to the property being incorrecly zoned. He stated that the Ministry of Transportation are requesting that the access to Hwy. 2 be closed, which he will not agree to do. He wishes to use the building as it currently exists, no major site or building alterations are proposed.
