1, A~ ~rsons, who for hi~ or ga~, and pro~iet~y
~u~ which directly or ~d~ectly keep, ~ have ~ their possession~
~ on t~ ~emises, an~ billiard, pool or bagatelle ~bles, or
keep or ~ve a~ such table, whether ~ed or n~ ~ a h~se or
p~ of ~blic ente~a~e~, or ~so~ in the said ~,mnici~lity,
s~ a~ally ~y to the said Lunici~llty the ~nse fees
~re~eter ~ntioned therefor, and s~ not k~p or for h~ or
ga~ let the use of any su~ tables wither ~g first ob~ a
li~e f~ t~
2. T~ fees to be ~id for a li~e for a~ such
bill~d, ~1 or bagatelle ~bles by a~ one person ~ club s~
be ~0~ for one such ~ble, and 20.00 for each additio~l table
kept by such ~rson or club. These fees s~ll be ~ble a~
~d such lice~shall be te~ted at t~ end ~ t~ ~lend~
y~ ~ which the s~e s~ll be issued.
3. Ail such li~s s~mll ~ issued and sign~ by
the ~ci~l ~w E~or~nt ~fi~r a~ delive~d upon the receipt
of t~ fees ~ble; ~ided h~ever, t~mt no such li~nse s~ be
issued to a ~on not hold~g a si~tar tice~e for the p~vious
~ until ~ter 15 ~ fr~ the t~e w~n t~ appli~tion for the
same ~s ~en rode a~ the ne~ssary fees ~ pr~ided t~mt such
lice~e ~y be ~voked by the ~unc~ ~ the ~r~ration of the
T~hip of Pic~ri~ upon the fecundation of the ~ci~l
~or~ment ~fi~r at any t~e.
4. No alcaholic beverages shall be sold in connection
with any premises in the said ~nicipalit¥ where any such billiard,
pool or bagatelle tables are kept for hire or gain, and no drinking
of intoxicating liquor, use of profane or obscene language, gambling
or disorderly conduct stroll be permitted in any such premises.
5. Uo person under the age of fifteen years shall be
permitted to frequent or loiter in any premises where any such
tables are kept and operated for jain or hire in the said
i..~nicipality.
6. Ail such licenses shall be subject to any
impositions and regulations of the ~rovince of Ontario, now in
force or that nm>~ hereafter be imposed and made.
7. The term "proprietory Club" as used in this By-law
shall be deemed to mean and include all clubs other t.han those in
which the use of any such billiard, pool or bagatelle tables is
only incidental to the main objects of the club.
8. Any pe~.son or proprietory club contravening,
violating or attempting to evade any of the provisions or requirements
of this by-law s~mll be subject to a fine not exceeding 300.00
and costs by the Convicting ~zistrate, recoverable under the
Summary O~nvictions Act.
9. E,y-la~.~ I~. ~.ber 131/~ and all other b~.~-laws or parts
of by-laws of this Corporation contrary to or inconsistent with
any of the provisions of this bv-law be and the same are hereby
repealed.
