Township of Picketing to establish
an Athletic Field.
~HEREAS provision is made for the establishment of
a community centre and athletic field in Ontario under the
Community Centres Act, R.S.O. 1960, Chapter 60;
AND WHEREAS it is desirous to establish an athletic
field on part Lot 19 in the second concession in the Township
of Picketing;
AND WHEREAS by By-law #3150, the Municipal Council
of the Township of Picketing in observance and commemoration
of Canada's Centennial year enacted that certain lands be
purchased for the creation of an athletic field;
AND WHEREAS by By-law #3193 the Municipal Council
authorized the expenditures of funds to provide for the creation
of an athletic field;
THEREFORE the Municipal Council of the Township of
Picketing ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. THAT an athletic field as defined under the Community
Centres' Act, R.S.O. 1960, Chapter 60, and the Regulations
thereunder be established at Lot 19, Concession 2, and the said
athletic field be administered by a Committee of Council.
2. THAT the said athletic field shall be maintained as
an athletic field by the Township of Pickering Council in
conformity with the Act and regulations made thereunder.
3. THAT the said athletic field shall be known as the
Picketing Township Centennial Park and Athletic Field.
READ a FIRST, SECOND and THIRD time and PASSED in open Council
