A By-law of the Corporation of the Township
of Pickering to appoint a Treasurer-Collector
for the Township of Pickering.
WHEREAS R.S.O. 1960 C 249, Sect. 377, Sub-Sect. 58
authorizes the appointment of certain officers for the purposes
of the Corporation;
AND WHEREAS Douglas J. Plitz has tendered his resigna-
tion as Treasurer-Collector of the Township of Picketing, and
such resignation has been accepted by Council effective June 3,
1968,
AND WHEREAS Mr. E. L. Hazen has served his probationary
period of six months to the satisfaction of Council,
BE IT THEREFORE ENACTED by the Municipal Council of
the Township of Picketing that:
1. Edward L. Hazen be and he is hereby appointed Treasurer-
Collector for the Township of Pickering and shall
commence his duties immediately.
2. The duties of the said Treasurer-Collector shall be
those as defined in the Assessment Act and the Municipal
Act, as amended together with those duties prescribed
by Council.
3. By-law Number 3401 is hereby repealed.
