BY-LAW NUMBER ~
being a by-law to authorize the
execution of an Agreement of
Purchase and sale dated the day
of February 1968
WHEREAS The Corporation o£ the Township of Pickering
has passed Resolution ~6-68;
AND WHEREAS it is deemed expedient that The Corporation
of the Township of Pickering acquire from The Public School
Board of the Township School Area of Picketing Township Area
No. 2 those lands and premises locally known as the Base Line
Road School;
AND WHEREAS The Corporation of the Township of Picker-
ing is authorized to purchase the said lands and premises by
The Municipal Act,R.S.O. 1960, s.333;
AND WHEREAS The Public School Board o? the Township
School Area of Pickering Township Area No. 2 is authorized
by The Public Schools Act, R.S.O. 1960 s.?4 (2)(b) to sell
the said lands and premises.
NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF
THE TOWNSHIP OF PICKERING ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. That the Reeve and Clerk are hereby authorized
to execute an Agreement of Purchase and Sale dated the
day of February 1968 between The Corporation of the Township
of Picketing and The Public School Board of the Township
School Area of Pickering Township Area No. 2 to acquire those
lands and premises locally known as the Base Line Road School
and more particularly described as being in the north half
of Lot 18, Broken Front Range 3 in the Township of Picketing
in the County oC Ontario, containing approximately three (3)
acres, and to affix the seal of the Corporation thereto, and

all further documents necessary for the completion of the
sale.
READ a First, Secon5 and Third tine and passed in
open Council this // day of March 1968.
