BY-LAW NUMBER 74~5~
A By-law of the Corporation of the
Township of Picketing to establish
a Community Centre at Altona.
WHEREAS provision is made for the establishment of a
Community Centre and Athletic Field in Ontario under the
Community Centres Act, 1960,
AND WHEREAS it is desired to establish a Community
Centre on Lot 31 in the ninth Concession known as the former
schoolhouse of School Area #1 (S.S. 17) in the Township of
Picketing;
THEREFORE the Municipal Council of the Township of
Picketing ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. That a Community Centre defined as a Community
Centre under the Community Centres Act, 1960, and
the regulations thereunder be established at Lot
31, Concession nine known as the former school-
house of School Area#1 (S.S. 17) and that the said
Community Centre be administered by the following
Board, duly appointed for the ensuing year:
Norman Fretz
Norman Smith
Doris MacAloney
Anna Fretz
Ruth Lewis
Vidtor Rudik
Donald Beer
2. That the said Community Centre shall be maintained
as a Community Centre by the said Board in conformity
with the Act ~d regulations made thereunder.
That the said Community Centre shall be known as
the Altona Community Centre.
