DEIYG a By-Law to re~ala~e the ~se of water
in the To~mship of Picketing.
'[~E~'[E.,S the Council of the Corporation of
the T'~a~ship of Pickcring deem it expedient to enact
regu~tions to secure to the inhabitants of the said
Township a continued supply of ~ater ~ an adequate
rate of flow.
THE COUNCIL OF

1. No person shall use water supwli~=d [y or
through the works rmintained or operated by the Council
of the Corporation of the Township of Picketing for the
following purpose:
a) Lawn waterir~g by any means.
b) Wateril~g of flowers, shrubs, trees or other
growing things except by ~eans o!' a watering
can~ pail or ether contair, er capable of being
carried by one person.
c) ~'~a~hi~.. of motor vehicles or vehicles of any
kind except by described in Clause (b)
but this Clause shall not apply to vehicles
used in public transportation or to vehicles
being cleaned by a person already in the busi-
ness, at the time of the passing of this
by-law, of washin?~ vehicles.
2. Notv,ithstanding the provisions o£ Clause 1 (b)
any person already engaged at the time of the
passing of this by-law in the business of
farming, market gardening or the growing Of
flowers and shrubs in a nursery or greenhouse

shall not be prohibited from ensuring
adequate moisture for his stock,
provided that there is no shortage of

3. ;,ny person contravening the provisions
of this b?-t~ i~' ~d~t%~ of an old, once and on sumnary
convic%ion is liabl~ to a fine of not more than $3~.00
or may be imprisoned ~thout the option of a fine
for a %erin of not more than one month.
