BY-LAW NUMBER 3874/91
Being a by-law to adopt Amendment Number 67 to the District Plan for the Town of
Pickering
WHEREAS pursuant to the Planning Act, 1983, S.O. 1983, c. 1, subsections 17(6) and
21(1), the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Pickering may by by-law adopt
amendments to the District Plan for the Town of Pickering, being an official plan, and
submit them to the Minister of Municipal Affairs for approval;
NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF
PICKERING HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
Amendment Number 67 to the District Plan for the Town of Pickering, attached
hereto as Exhibit "A" and including the Explanatory Text, is hereby adopted.
The Clerk of the Town of Pickering is hereby authorized and directed to submit
Amendment Number 67 to the District Plan for the Town of Pickering to the Ministry
of Municipal Affairs for approval.
This By-law shall come into force and take effect on the day of the final passing
hereof.
By-law read a first, second and third time and finally passed this__

AMENDMENT NO. 67
TO THE
TOWN OF PICKERING DISTRICT PLAN
(BROCK INDUSTRIAL AREA COMMUNITY PLAN)
AMENDMENT NO. 67 TO THE TOWN OF PICKERING DISTRICT PLAN
(BROCK INDUSTRIAL AREA COMMUNITY PLAN)
PURPOSE:
The purpose of this amendment is to permit Associated Industrial
Facihties uses.
LOCATION:
The subject lands are approximately 2.2 hectares in size and are
located on the east side of Brock Road south of Highway 401, north
of and including the old Plummer Street extension.
The lands are [generally described as Part of Lot 18, Concession 1,
Town of Pickermg.
BASIS:
The amendment has been determined to be appropriate because it
constitutes a logical extension and rounding-out of the associated
industrial facilities area that surrounds the subject lands, the
convenient location of the lands along Bi'ock Road and relative to
Highway 401, and the potential compatibility of future proposals on
these lands with development on adjacent lands.
ACTUAL
AMENDMENT:
The Town of Pickering District Plan (Brock Industrial Area
Community Plan) is hereby amended by:
Adding a new subsection (h) to Section 2.E. Associated
Industrial Facilities as follows:
(h)
Restrictions to limit the type and size of individual uses
permitted on each lot may be established in the
restricted area (zoning) by-law(s), subject to site specific
evaluation relating to issues such as site design and
compatibility with neighbouring uses.
Amending Schedule I-A as indicated in Exhibit hA' attached to
this Amendment.
I M PLE M ENTATION:
The provisions set forth in the Town of Pickering District Plan, as
amended, regarding the implementation of the Plan shall apply in
regard to this Amendment.
INTERPRETATION:
The provisions set forth in the Town of Pickering District Plan, as
amended, regarding the interpretation of the Plan shall apply in
regard to this Amendment.
