BY-LAW NUMBER 3858/91
Being a by-law to appoint By-law
Enforcement Officers for certain
purposes (Parking Regulation
Pickering Town Centre, 1355 Kingston
Road, Pickering)
Whereas pursuant to the provisions of section 70 of the Police Act,
R.S.O. 1980, chapter 381, as amended, the council of any
municipality or trustees of any police village may appoint one or
more municipal law enforcement officers who shall be peace officers
for the purpose of enforcing the by-laws of the municipality or
police village;
NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF
PICKERING HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
The following person is hereby appointed as a Municipal Law
Enforcement Officer in and for the Town of Pickering and are
hereby authorized to enter at all reasonable times upon lands
municipally known as Pickering Town Centre, 1355 Kingston Road,
Pickering, in order to ascertain whether the provisions of
By-law 2359/87 are obeyed and to enforce or carry into effect
the said By-law:

The authority granted in section 1 hereto is specifically
limited to that set out in section l, and shall not be deemed,
at any time, to exceed the authority set out in section 1.
This appointment shall expire upon those persons appointed in
Section 1 hereof ceasing to be an employee of Intercon Security
Limited or upon Intercon Security Limited ceasing to be an
authorized agent of JDS Investments Limited, whichever shall
occur first.
By-law read a first, second and third time and finally passed this
7th day of October, 1991.
