BY-LAW NO. 3804/91
Being a by-law to authorize the execution of an Offer to
Purchase/Agreement of Purchase and Sale pursuant to
which the Town shall acquire those parts of Lot 9, Plan
282, Picketing designated as Parts 18, 19, 21 and 22,
Plan 40R-11206, for public road purposes (Waterford
Gate Extension).
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of the Municipal Act, R.S.O. 1990, chapter 302, section 193(1),
the Council of The Corporation of the Town of Pickering may pass by-laws for acquiring any land or
interest therein for the purposes of the corporation; and
WHEREAS the provisions of the Pickering Disttict Plan, Part II, Planning Community No. 5
(Highbush) Community Plan and the Totten, Sims, Hubicki Associates' Highbush Community Traffic
Study (June 12, 1990) indicate that Waterford Gate should be extended westerly to Woodview Avenue,
requiring the acquisition by the Town of certain lands in Lot 9, Plan 282, Picketing therefor;
NOW THEREFORE, the Council of The Corporation of the Town of Pickering HEREBY ENACTS AS
FOLLOWS:
The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized to execute an Offer to Purchase/Agreement of
Purchase and Sale, in the form attached hereto as Schedule A, between The Corporation of the
Town of Picketing and Paul Patterson and June Patterson, respecting the acquisition by the
Town for the purchase price of $450,000.00, of those parts of Lot 9, Plan 282, Picketing,
designated as Parts 18, 19, 21 and 22, Plan 40R-11206, for the purpose of extending Waterford
Gate westerly to Woodview Avenue.
