TOWNSHIP OF PICKERING
BY-LAW NUMBER
DESIGNATING THROUGH HIGHWAYS
WHEREAS clause 26 of subsection 1 of section 1 of The Highway
Traffic Act (R.S.0. 1960, Chapter 172) provides that:
"through highway" means any highway or part of a
highway designated as such by the Minister or by
by-law of a municipality approved by the Department,
and every such highway shall be marked by a stop
sign or yield right-of-way sign in compliance with
the regulations of the Department;
NOW THEREFOKE the Council of the Corporation of the Municipality
of Pickering ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
The following highways or parts of highways under the
jurisdiction of the Municipality of the Township of
Pickering are designated as through highways:

Rodd Avenue East Limit of Reg- Dyson Road

!2'. The penalties provided in section 85 of The Highway Traffic
Act shall apply to offences against this by-law.
13. By-Law Number 2428 is hereby amended to the extent
necessary
to give effect to the said By-Law.
..' This by-law shall not become effective until approved by
the Department of Transport.
By-Law Number 3121 is ~ere~y:~/ repealed.
