A BY-LAW TO AUTHORIZE A PROJECT IN OBSERVANCE AND COMMEMORATION
OF THE CENTENNIAL,
WHEREAS the Confederation Centennial Act 1962/63 provides that
~]u~c~pal Councils may make expenditures for or grants toward
the observance or the commemoration of the Centennial~
AND WHEREAS it is desirable to observe and commemorate the
Cen~en~a~ by a Centennial Park for the Township of PICKERING,
ENACTS AS FOLLOWS
1. THAT in observance and commemoration of the Centennial the . .
Corporation shall purchaseland for a Centennial Park in Lot

Concession 1~ at an estimated cost of Thirty Thousand Dollars

T e Reeve and the Clerk be and they are hereby authorized
and directed to make applications pursuant to the provisions of
the regulations ~ade under the Confederation Centennial ~t
1962/63 for ~ ?rant in aid of the project.
3. The share of the cost of such project which is to be borne
by the Township of Picketing shall be provided fcr in the budget
estimates for the 5~eam 1966.
