The Board was advised that the objections arising
from the Public meeting of December 10, !964, required
finalization prior to forwarding to Council for adoption,
~..em 2 - Text Policy re PFivate Open Space
The Secretary again advised the Board that
a written submission, dated December 2, 1964 from
Mr. H. A. Newman~ solicitor and owner had been
received suggesting the re-wording of the second
paragraph as follows:
"In the event that the municipality does not
consent to the re-designation of such land they
will acquire the property of the owner by negot-
iation or expropriation."
The Board felt that this was not the intention
of the Official Flan.
MOTION: MOVED by Mr. Deakln, seconded by Mrs. McPhersen
and carried unanimously that item 2 should
remain as previously moved on November 12/64.
~t. em..9. - Land Us.e - Pit and Quarry Area to Rural
The Secretary advised the Board that Consolidated
Sand & Gravel would not remove their objection, and
again stated that the Zoning By-law zoned this area
as 'Agricultural' and the Official Plan designated
it as 'Quarry'. This proposed change was to bring
the Official Plan into conformity with the Zoning
By-law, as the by-law was the later document.
It was the decision of the Board that item 9 should
remain as previously moved on November 12/64.
Item 10 - Land Use - Pit and Quarry Area to Rural
The Secretary reiterated that the zoning of this
property was 'Agricultural' whereas the Official Plan
designation was 'Quarry' and the proposed change was
to bring the Official Plan into conformity with the
Zoning By-law.
It was the decision of the Board that item 10
should remain as previously moved on November 12/64.
Item 12 - Land Use - Pit and Quarry Area to Open
Space and Greenbelt,,~gn,,servation
The Secretary advised the Board that Mr. H. A.
Newman, solicitor and owner had submitted a letter
dated December 2, 196~ stating that the easterly
300 feet should remain as Rural as such was flat
level tand~ well romoved from the ravine. The Board
was also advised that Consolidated Sand & Gravel would
not object to having the south-westerly portion of their
property designated as Open Space and Greenbelt
Conservation, up to the top of the bank as outlined on
a series of plans dated December 16, 1964
DECISION: MOVED by Mr. Deakin, seconded by Mr. Merrltt

10. OFFICIAL PLAN continued
Item 13 - Land Use - Rural to Open Space and Greenbelt
Conservation
The Board was advised that this proposed ' ~
amendment was believed not to adversly effect the present
land use or its future'extension, and was in keeping
with the proposed Metrspolitan Toronto Official Plan.
It was agreed that provision should be made for
an owner's or caretaker's residence on the property.
It was the decimion of the Board that item 13 should
remain as previously moved on November 12/64.
Item 16 - Land Use - Residential to Rural
As this was deemed to be a request for clarification,
no further action was considered necessary by the Board.
Item 17 - Land Use - Commercial-General ~? Industrial
The Board was advised that this property had been
originally designated as Commercial, pending approval
of By-law 2699, which was subsequently refused, there-
fore this amendment is to bring the Official Plan into
conformity with the Zoning By-l~w.
The Board recognized the applicant's request,
but felt that this change would not be detrimental
to any future application submitted. It was their
decision that item 17 should remain as previously
moved on November 12/64.
Item 18 - Land Use - Private Open Space to Greenbelt
Conservation
The Board was of the opinion that this proposal
was outside the present amendment and that an
application should be submitted in the normal manner.
MOTION: MOVED by Mr. Deakin, seconded by Mr. Milne
and carried unanimously that the Planning
Director write a letter to Duffin's Creek
Estates, advising that this matter should
be handled as a formal amendment application.
Item 21 - Land Use - Gremnbelt Conservation to Residential
The Board was of the opinion that this proposed
change would enhance, rather than adversly effect the
use of the land. It was therefore decided that item
21 should remain as previously moved on November 12/64.
Item 23 - Land Use - Residential to Rural
The Secretary advised the Board that the area was
zoned as 'Agricultural' and designated as 'Residential';
this change was to bring the Official Plan into conformity
with the Zoning By-law.
The Board was also advised that this was originally
a summer cottage subdivision, but that subsequently the
Township had prohibited the erection of summer cotaages.
It was the decision of the Board that It&m 23 should
