OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF PIGKF. RING
BEING a By-law to amend By-law No, 2324 passed on the 23rd day
of June, 1958, authorizing the Corporation of the Township of Picketing
to make applicable a Street Lighting Agreement with The H?dro Electric
Power Commission of Ontario dated the 28th day of August, 1951, to a~
additional area being all of the lots on Registered Plans 678 and M-$
known as Rouge Highlands Subdivision ant{ other lands as more particularly
described in said By-law~
WH~RF~ by said By-law No. 2324, 60% of the cost incurred under
the aforesaid Agreement for street lighting in the said additional area
was to be raised, levied and collected by an annual special rate upon
the taxable property lying within the said additional area and 40~ of
the said cost was to be paid by the Corporation of the Township of
Picketing.
AND WHEREAS it is desired to amend said By-law to provide that
100~ of the cost incurred under the said Agreement in respect of the said
additional area after the /~ day of 1962 be paid by an annual
special rate upon the taxable propertyC'/lying with the said additional
area,
NOW THEREFORE the Municipal Council of the Corporation of the
Township of Picketing enacts as follows:
(1) That paragraph 4 of the said By-law No. 2324 be amerded
by deleting the same and substituting the following therefor:
"4. That ~0~ of the cost incttrred under said Agreement for
Street Lighting in respect of the said additional area be raised, levied
and collected by an annual special rate upon the taxable property lying
within the said additional area until the / ~ day of~,~/,
1962
and
thereafter that 100~ of the aforesaid cost be raised, levied and collected
by an annual special rate upon the taxable property lying within the said
additional area."
(2) That paragraph $ of the said By-law No. 23~4 aforesaid be
amended by deleting the same and substituting the following therefore.~
"5, That 40~ of the Cost incurred under the said Agreement for
Street Li~htin~ in the said additional area be paid by the Gorporation
and be chargeable to the municipality as a whole until the /~ day of
1962, and thereafter that no part of said cost shall be so ~aid
or chargeable."
