A By-Law to authorize the Clerk of the
Township of Pickering to submit an offer
to the reg~tered owners of certain lands
in the said Township for the purposes of
erection of a proposed Water Filtration
Flant.
WHERFAS The Corporation of the Township of Pickering
deems it desirable to acquire certain lands mere particularly described
in Schedule "A" annexed hereto for or in connection with the ~ection of
~ e F n
a proposed at r iltratio Plant.
AND WHEREAS the Council of the said Corporation deems it
expedient to authorize the Clerk to submit an offer in the amount ~ ~o
~Jq'~'~m~to the registered owners of this land in order to acquire the
same on the terms and conditions more particularly set out in the draft
offer to purchase annexed as Exhibit "B" to this By-Law, NO/ THEREFORE
THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP iF PICKERING HEREBY E~ACTS
1. The Council of the Corperation of the Township cf Pickering
lands more particularly described in -~chedule "A~ hereto for the purposes
of the said Corporation in connection with the erection of a proposed
Water Filtration Plant.
The Clerk of the Township is hereby authorized to submit
owners of the said lands, such offer to be executed under the Corporate
Seal of the said Corporation and signed by the ReeVe and the Clerk on
behalf of the said Corporation.
3. The said Schedules "A" and "B" hereto shall form part of
this By-Iaw.

Description of part of Lot 19, Range 2, Broken Front
Concession, Town~hlp of .P.~ck.erin~.
ALL AND SINGULAR that certain parcel or tract of land and premises
situate, lying and being in the Township of Pickering and County
of Ontario and being composed of part of Lot 19 in the Second Range
of the Broken Front Concession of the said Township which said
parcel is more particularly described as follows;
PP. EI~ that the bearing of the east l~mtt of the said Lot
19 Range 2 is N 17° 13' 50" W and relating all bearings used
herein thereto;
COmmENCING at a point in the east limit of the said Lot 19
distant southerly therein 1,997.20 feet from the north east
angle of the said Lot 19; the said Point of Commencement being
in line with a fence running westerly;
TH~2~CF. S 72° O1~ 20" W along said fence to a point in line with
a fence running southerly, a distance of 665.~3 feet;
TI-IE}IOE $ 19° 20' ~0" E along said fence, and southerly production
thereof, to a point in the h~h water mark of Lake Ontario,
a distance of 633.22 feet more or less;
THENCE easterly along said high water mark to a point of intersection
with the said east limit of Lot 19, a distance of 670 feet more or
less;
THENCE Northerly along said east limit of LOt 19 a distance of
713.80 feet more or less to the Point of Oon~encement.
Being the lands outlined in Red on the plan of survey
prepared by Graydon T. Horton & Associates, Ontario Land
Surveyors, and dated the 8th day of February, 1959.

This is Schedule "B" referred to in By-Law
of the Corporation of the Township of Pickering
passed the ,! day of March, A. D. 1960.
(~'~a~x TO PUROHASE
The Corporation of the Township of Pickerlng (as Purchaser)
hereby agrees with Michael Picov and AleY~uder Picov, (as ~endors)
to purchase all and singular the premf~es situate in the Township
of Pickering in the County of Ontario and more particularity described
in Schedule "A" hereto, having a frontage of about 670 feet more or
less and a depth of 562.22 feet more or less on the westerly limit
and 6~?.80 feet more or less on the easterly l~m~t being part of
Lot 19, Bange 2, Broken Front Concession in the said Township of
Picketing at a price o~ ~~~
as follows: Two DoLlars ($2.00) cash to the said Vendors on this
date as deposit and covenants, premises and agrees to pay the
balance of the purchase price by cash or certified cheque on the
day fixed for closing.
The Purchaser is to have ten days (10) from the date of
acceptance of this offer to search the title at its own empenae
and if, during that time, it shall find any enc-mbrance except
local rates or any valid requisitions on title which the Vendors
are unable or unwilling to remove, then the Purchaser shall have
the right to remove all such encumbrances and satisfy all such
requisitions on title and shall be entitled to an abatement in the
purchase price as set out above in the amount of such enc,,mbrance
together with all costs and charges in connection with the removal
thereof, or the reasonable costs of the Purchaser in answering
the above requisitions on title satisfactorily. In the event that
the purchaser is unable to remove ar~ such ene,,mbrances or to answer
any such requisitions on title, this offer is to be r,,11 and void
and the deposit monies are to be returned to the purchaser without
interest.

This offer is to Be acce~ted on or before the 23rd day of
l~rch A. Do 19~O and the transaction is to he c~osed on or Before the
1st day of April~ 1960, at which date possession of the said pr~eea
is to be given to the purchaser.
Unearned fire insurance premiums, ta~es, interest,
rentals, and all local i~pr~ve~ents and water rates are to be
proportioned and allowed to the date of completion of sale; deed or
transfer of title to contain a release of the purchaser of all claims
arising from the acquisition of the said property and to contain the
usual habendum and covenants and release and to contain a bower of
dower of the wives, if a~ of the Vendors.
This offer, if accepted, shall with such acceptance
constitute a binding contract to purchase and sale.
Ti~e shall be of the essence of this agreement.
DATED at Pickering, this 21st day of March, 1~60.
I hereby accept the above offer on its terms, and covenant, promise
and agree to and with the above named purchaser to duly carry out the
sa~e on the terms and conditions above ~sntioned.
