A BY-LAW OF THE TOWNSHIP OF PICKERING TO PERMIT STANDARD PAVING
COMPANY LIMITED TO MOVE EQUIPMENT ON FLOATS TO AND FROM LOT 23,
CONCESSION 3 to LOT 21, CONCESSION L.
WHEREAS Standard Paving Company Limited have asked Council to
permit them to move equipment heavier than that permitted under
section 34 of the Highway Traffic Act, due to an emergency:
AND WHEREAS Section 35, sub section ;1, provides that a Council
may pass a By-Law so that a permit may be issued by any officer
of the Corporation to move such overloaded vehicle on a Township
road;
BE IT THEREFORE ENACTED by the Municipal Council of the Township
of Pickering that:
J. S. CHAPMAN be permitted to issue a permit to Standard Paving
Company Limited to transport egfnipment on floats from Lot 21,
Concession 1, along Concession 3 easterly to Valley Farm Road,
therce southerly or Valley Farm Road to a point 30 feet north
of Highway 401, and return, during the period from April 24 to
April 30, inclusive.
By-LAW read a First and Second time this 23rd day of April, 1959
