HomeMy WebLinkAboutBy-law 2268BY - LAW N U M B E R 2 2 6 8 A BY-LAW OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF THE TOWNSHIP OF PICKERING TO AMEND BY-LAW NUMBER 2073 "TO REGULATE THE USE OF LAND AND THE CHARACTER, / LOCATION, AND USE OF BUILDINGS AND STRUCTURES IN PLANS 489, 492, and 521." BE IT ENACTED by the Municipal Council of the Township of Pickering: 1. THAT Clause 3 of By-Law Number 2073, reading "No dwelling shall have a floor area, exclusive of basement, verandah or attic, of less than 750 square feet" shall be amended to read, "No dwelling shall have a floor area, exclusive of basement, verandah or attic, of less than 960 square feet." 2. THAT Clause 7 of By-Law Number 2073s reading, "No part of any dwelling or accessory building shall be erected or placed at a distance less than thirty (30) feet from a street or road boundary nor less than ten (10) feet from either side boundary of the building lot," be amended to read, "No part of any dwelling or accessory building shall be erected or placed at a distance less than thirty (30) feet from a street or road boundary, nor less than ten (10) feet from either side boundary of the build- ing lot except that garages attached to a dwelling or detached garages located at rear of dwelling may not extend closer to a side boundary lot line than four (4) feet." THAT any person who contravenes this By-low shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable to a penalty of not more than $50.00, exclusive of costs. THAT this By-low shall come into effect on the day it is approved by the Ontario Municipal Board. THAT By-Law Number 2257 be and the same is hereby repealed.
