A BY-LAW OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF THE TOWNSHIP OF PICKERING TO AMEND BY-LAW
NUMBER 2073 "TO REGULATE THE USE OF LAND AND THE CHARACTER, LOCATION, AND
USE OF BUILDINGS AND STRUCTURES IN PLANS 489, 492, AND 521."
BE IT ENACTED by the Municipal Council of the Township of Pickering;
1. THAT Clause 3 of By-Law Number 2073, reading "No dwelling shall have a
floor area, exclusive of basement, verandah or attic, of less than 750
square feet" shall be amended to read , "No dwelling shall have a floor
area, exclusive of basement, verandah or attic, of less than 960 square
feet."
2. THAT Clause 7 of By-Law Number 2073, reading, "No part of any dwelling
or accessory building shall be erected or placed at a distance less
than thirty (30) feet from a street or road boundary nor less than ten
(10) feet from either side boundary of the building lot," be amended to
read, "No part of any dwelling or accessory building shall be erected or
placed at a distance less than thirty (30) feet from a street or road
boundary;/Igarages attached to a dwelling or detached garages located at
rear of dwelling may not extend closer to a side boundary lot line than
four (4) feet."
3. THAT any person who contravenes this By-Law shall be guilty of an offence
and shall be liable to a penalty of not more than $50.00, exclusive of
costs.
4. THAT this By-Law shall come into effect on the day it is approved by the
Ontario Municipal Board.

BY - LAND NO. 2258
Of the Township of Pickering to provide a time and place for
Municipal Nominations and Elections of Council Members and Trustees
for the School Areas.
The Municipal Council of The Township of Pickering Enacts as
follows;
1. That the place for receiving nominations for the officers
of Reeve, Deputy-Reeve and Five Councillors for the Township
of Pickering and Trustees for School Areas One and Two, shall
be in the Township Hall at the Village of Brougham on the
last Friday in the Month of November and that the hour during
1 which such nominations may be received shall commence at Six
o'clock and end at Seven o'clock in the evening.
29 Should an election be necessary, it will be held on thezy ?- "
Saturday following the nomination meeting and the location
of the Polling places for such e7e ction and persons to preside
D thereat will be named in a later By-Law. The hours during
A w ?ch such polls will be?open will be between the hours of
,? c . . A.M. and . . !! P.M.
3. All By-Laws contrary to or inconsistant with this By-Law
are hereby repealed.
