A BY-LAW OF THE TOWNSHIP OF PICKERING TO AMEND BY-LAW NUMBER 1311
WHICH PROVIDED FOR FEE FOR POUNDKEEPERS AND TO APPOINT AN ADDITIONAL
POUNDKEEPER.
WHEREAS the fees as set out in By-Law Number 1311 passed in the
year 1928 are not now sufficient;
BE IT THEREFORE ENACTED by the Municipa.L Uouncil of the Township of
Pickering:
1. THAT Clause 3 of By-Law Number 1311 be repealed and the following
substituted therefor:
Clause The tees and charges which may be demanded and received
by suc Pound-keepers under authority of this By-Law and for
services under the said Pound Act shall be as follows:
Animal impounded For impounding For Food and
Water per day

For each and every notice posted pursuant to this By-Law, or pursuant
to the said Pound Act, SO cents.
For sending each and every notice pursuant to this By-Law or said
Act) SO cents, together with the actual disbursements for postage
and advertisement in newspapers.
Pound-keepers shall also be entitled to take and receive a commission
for selling impounded or distrained animals or poultry .S'Xy
per cent of the proceeds of such sale.
2. That Clifford Schwalm be and he is hereby appointed an additional
Pound-Keeper to those appointed under By-baw Number 2138.
