A BY-LAW OF THE TOWNSHIP OF PICKERING TO CLOSE PART OF AN UNUSED SIDE-
LINE IN THE TOWNSHIP OF PICKERING.
WHEREAS that portion of sideline between Lots 34 and 35 in Broken Front
Range 1 of the Township of Pickering, commencing at the Canadian National
Railway right-of-way and extending northerly for about 84 feet is unused
and the said railway require such land for railway sidings;
AND WHEREAS that portion of this sideline which extends from the Canadian
National Railway right-of-way to Lake Ontario has been officially closed
under By-Law Number 1386;
AND WHEREAS the Clerk of the Township of Pickering has caused to be
posted the necessary notices and has advertised in the local newspaper
the proposed closing of this sideline in accordance with the Road Closing
Act and no person has objected to the closing of such road;
BE IT THEREFORE ENACTED by the Municipal Council of the Township of
Pickering:
1. THAT all and singular that certain parcel or tract of land and
premises, lying and being in the Township of Pickering, County of
Ontario and Province of Ontario, and being composed of part of the
original allowance for road between Lots thirty-four (34) and
thirty-five (35), Range 1 of the Broken Front Concession in the
said Township, containing by admeasurement an area of four thousand
two hundred and forty-nine square feet (4249) more or less, the
boundaries of the said parcel being described as follows:
PREMISING that the bearing of the westerly limit of the said allow-
ande for road is North sixteen degrees fifty-four minutes thirty
seconds West (N.16054130"W.) and relating all bearings herein
thereto;
COMMENCING at a point in the westerly limit of said allowance for
road being also the easterly limit of Lot 35 in the said Range 1
where the same is intersected by the northwesterly limit of the
right of way lands of the Canadian National Railways (Oshawa Sub-
division) the said point being distant four hundred and fifty-four
{ and eighty-two hundredths feet (454.821) measured southerly there-
along from the northeasterly angle of the said Lot 35;
THENCE North sixteen degrees fifty-four minutes thirty seconds West
(N.16 54130"W.) along said westerly limit sixty-four and thirty-
eight hundredths feet (64.381) more or less to its intersection
with a line drawn parallel to the centre line of the west bound
main line track of the said Railway and distant eighty-four feet
(84.01) northwesterly therefrom measured at right angles thereto.
THENCE North thirty-four degrees three minutes East (N.340031E.)
along said parallel line eighty-four and ninety-eight hundredths
feet (84.981) more or less to the easterly limit of said allowance
for road.
THENCE South sixteen degrees fifty-four minutes thirty seconds East
(S. 6 54130"E.) along said easterly limit sixty-four and thirty-eight
hundredths feet (64.381) more or less to the northwesterly limit of
the right of way lands aforesaid;
THENCE South thirty-four degrees three minutes West (S.340031W.)
along said northwesterly limit eighty-four and ninety-eight hundredths
feet (84.981) more or less to the said point of commencement.

2. When this By-law shall have been duly confirmed and approved
the said allowance for road shall be sold in a manner as directed
and required by law and for a price that shall be satisfactory to
the Council of the Corporation, and on sale thereof shall be
