BY-LAW OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF THE TOWNSHIP OF PICKERING TO DIVIDE THE
)WNSHIP INT?i AND PROVIDE FOR A SEVEN MAN COUNCIL.
iEREAS on 6s 1954p the ratepayers of Pickering Township voted
i By-Law Number 2044 on the question, "Are you in favour of the division
' the Township into Wards?" which resulted: Yes, 1754. No, 777)
's IT THEREFORE ENACTED by the Municipal Council of the Township of
_ckering that:
The Township of Pickering be divided into five wards.
The various Wards shall comprise the following lots:
(a) Ward 1 shall comprise all of Lots 21 to 35 inclusive in
Concessions 3 to 9 inclusive.
(b) Ward 2 shall comprise all of Lots 1 to 20 inclusive in
Concessions 3 to 9 inclusive.
(c) Ward 3 shall comprise all of Lots 1 to 21 inclusive
in Concessions B.F. R.2p B.F. R.3,Concession and Concession
2. save and except the areas which comprise the Town of Ajax
and the Village of Pickering.
(d) Ward 4 shall comprise all of Lots 22 to 29 inclusive in
Concession B.F. R.2, B.F. R.3, Concession 1 and Concession 2.
(e) Ward 5 shall comprise all the Lots 30 to 35 inclusive in
Concessions B.F. R.1-2 and 3, and Concession 1 and 2.
The Council shall comprise a Reeve, Deputy-Reeve., and five Councillors.
One Councillor shall be elected from each Ward with the Reeve and
Deputy-Reeve elected from the whole Township.
This By-Law shall become effective on a date approved by the
Ontario Municipal Board.
