A BY-LAW TO ASSESS THE MUNICIPALITY OF THE TOWNSHIP OF PICKERING,
INCLUDING THE POLICE VILLAGE OF CLAREMONT, FOR A GENERAL PUBLIC
1 SCHOOL RATE TO PROVIDE FUNDS FOR THE TOWNSHIP STATUTORY GRANTS TO
PUBLIC SCHOOLS IN THE YEAR 1956.-

WHEREAS the amount to be raised by general levy from the whole of
the Public School Supporters in the said Township, excepting School
Section Number 4 West (Union), in the present year, for payment of
the Statutory Township Grants to Public Schools, required by
Section 115 of the Public Schools Act, R.S.0.1950, is the sum

of X-13. VAl as per Schedule;
AND WHEREAS the assessment of Public School Supporters in the
Municipality in the year 1956 is $10,142,599.43;
BE IT THEREFORE ENACTED by the Municipal Council of the Township
of Pickering:-
THAT there be raised, levied and collected from and upon all the
rateable property in the said Municipality, including the Police
"Village of Claremont, and excepting Union School Section No.4 West,
assessed for Public School purposes in the year 1956, the rate of
3 3 Mills on the dollar, which will amount to $_t? f or
the purpose of paying Statutory Grants to the Public Schools in
the said Municipality in the said year.
BY-LAW read a first and second time this day of 1956
BY-LAW read a third time and PASSED this day of1956.
