A BY-LAW TO ASSESS THE SEVERAL SCHOOL SECTIONS AND UNION SCHOOL SECTIONS
IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF THE TOWNSHIP OF PICKERING, TO PROVIDE FUNDS FOR
THE PURPOSES OF THE SAID SCHOOL SECTIONS, IN THE YEAR 1954.
WHEREAS the School Boards of the several School Sections and Union
School Sections, in the Municipality of the Township of Pickering, have
made requisition to the Council of the said Township for the amounts
named respectively in Column 3 of Schedule to this By-Law for the use
of the said Boards in paying Teacherst salaries and defraying other
expenses of the Schools respectively in the current year;
AND WHEREAS the respective amounts required by the aforesaid requis-
itions as entered in Column 4 of the said Schedule will.have to be
raised, levied and collected from and upon all the rateable property
in the said School Sections respectively;
BE IT THEREFORE ENACTED by the Municipal Council of the Corporation of
the Township of Pickering:
1. THAT there be raised, levied and collected from and upon all
rateable property in each of the School Sections of the Township
of Pickering in the year 1954, such a rate in each of the School
Sections as will be sufficient to raise the amount entered in
Column 4 of the said Schedule opposite the number of each such
Section respectively.
