A BY-LAW OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF THE TO4'$3SHIP 0_T PICiERIN"" TO STOP UP
AND CLOSE AS A Pi_IBLIC HIGH'SAY THE RANGE LINE, RO:'?D B'TNEEN BROKEN FRONT
RANGES ONE AN' TWO IN LOT NUMBER 35, SAVE AND EXCEPT 'PPE 'JESTERLY 222
FEET.
WHEREAS the Canadian General Electric Company own all the lands
fronting on the above described road proposed to be closed.
AND WHEREAS the said Canadian General Electric Company wish to
ind,zstrialize their lands and build a protective fence around their
entire holdings for Security Purposes.
AND WHEREAS the said Canadian General Electric Company have AGREED
to give tine Township 6-, feet of land along, their northerly boundry in
exchange for the proposed road to be closed.
AND WTiEREAS the Clerk of the Township of Fickering has posted signs
and advertised the Closing of said road in accordance with the Road
Closing Act, and that there has not been cause shown in the opinion
of Council why the Road should not be closed.
BE IT THEREFOR ENACTED by the 'Vunicipal Council of the Township
of P .ckerin,>,:
1. THAT the Range Line Road Allowance between Range 1 and Range 2
in Lot 35, save and except the Westerly 222 Feet be and the same
is hereby stopped up and closed as a Public Road.
2. ':uHEN this By-Law shall have been duly confirmed and approved,
the said Allowance for Road shall be sold in a manner as directed
16' and required by Law and for a price that shall be satisfactory
to the Council of the Corporation, and on sale thereof shall be
deeded to the purchaser.
3. THIS By-Law shall come into force and take effect at once after
Tt shall have been confirmed by the Council of the Corporation
of the County of Ontario.
