A BY-LAW OF THE TOWNSHIP OF PICKERING TO INCREASE THE SALARIES
OF CERTAIN TOWNSHIP EMPLOYEES.
WHEREAS at a recent meeting of Council increases of salaries were
,o-:j')-made to certain employees by resolution, and it is deemed necessary
to confirm same by By-Law:
BE IT THEREFORE ENACTED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE TOWNSHIP
OF PICKERING THAT:
1. The salary of Lloyd T. Johnston, as Clerk-Treasurer, be
increased to Three Thousand, Nine Hundred and Twenty-Five
Dollars ($3,925.00) per year.
2. The salary of Ernest G. Baker, as Collector and Welfare
Administrator, be increased to Three Thousand Two Hundred Dollars
($3,200.00) per year.
,,j1r7.3. The salary of Edward K. Jones, as Assessor, be increased
to Three Thousand, Two Hundred Dollars (3,200.00) per year,
.77J44. The salary of Arthur Thompson, as Assistant Assessor, be
increased to Two Thousand Five Hundred and Twenty-Five
Dollars ($2,525.00) per year.
5. The salary of Elizabeth Ro?on, as Stenographer, be
increased to One Thousand, Wit Hundred and Twenty-Five
Dollars ( $1, 925.00) per year.
is"ll 6. The salary of Roy Ward, as Road Superintendent, be increased
to Three Thousand, Five Hundred Dollars ($3,500.00)
per year.

=-4 7. The aforesaid increases shall be effective as of January 1st,
1953, and there shall be a mileage allowance of $¢ per mile for
use of cars necessarily travelled while on Township business.
All By-Laws contrary to or inconsistent with this By-Law are
hereby repealed.
BY-LAW read a First and Second time this 2nd day of February,
1953.
BY-LAW read a THIRD time and PASSED this 2nd day of February,
1953.
