A.By-law to amend By-law Number 1787 to restrict certain lands in the
Township of Pickering to be used for certain purposes.
WHEREAS it is deemed expedient and necessary to provide that the lands
ere nafter described shall only be used for the purposes herein
provided.
THEREFORE the Council of TYPE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF PICKERING
E N _AC T S as follows:-
1. By-law Number 1787 is amended by adding the following as
1.A.(1): "No person shall use any portion of the lands hereinafter
described to erect, construct, reconstruct, place, maintain or
use any building or other structure on the said lands except for
the purpose of detached one-family dwellings conforming to the
other provisions of this By-law. The lands referred to are
more particularly described as follows :
(a) All of Lot Number 6 in Range 2, Range 3, Concession 1
and the south half of Township Lot Number 6 in the Second
Concession.
(b) Those parts of Township Lot Number 7 in the First and
Second Concessions consisting of the south half of Lot Number
7 in the Second Concession and that part of Lot Number 7 in the
First Concession lying north of the northerly limit of the
Canadian National Railway.
(c) The south half of Township Lots Numbers 8, 9 and 10 in
the Second Concession and those parts of Township Lots Numbers 8,
9 and 10 in the First Concession lying north?of the northerly
limit of the Improvement District of Ajax.
(d) The south half of Township Lots Numbers 11 and 12 in
the Second Concession and those parts of Township Lots Numbers 11
and 12 in the First Concession lying north of the northerly limit
of the Canadian National Railway.
(e) Those parts of the south halves of Township Lots Numbers 13,
14, 15 and 16 in the Second Concession lying north of the
northerly limit of the Police Village of Pickering.
(f) The south half of Lot Number 17 in the Second Concession
and that part of Lot Number 17 in the First Concession lying
north of the northerly limit of the Canadian National Railway.
(2) Notwithstanding the provisions of 1 A (1), that part of Township
Lot Number 17 in the First Concession, lying between the northerly
limit of Highway No. Two.A, and the southerly limit of Highway
Number Two, may be used for industrial, commercial and mercantile
purposes, including, but not so as to restrict the generality of
the foregoing, for the purpose of retail stores and business offices.
Lots Numbers 74 to 111, both inclusive, and Lot Number 134,
on Plan Number 377, may be used for places of commercial and
mercantile business, including, but not so as to restrict the
generality of the foregoing, for the purpose of retail stores
business offices."
