of the Township of Pickering, to increase the salaries of
certain Township employees.
WHEREAS at a recent meeting of Council increases of salaries
-wo were made to certain employees by resolution, and it is deemed
necessary to confirm same by By-law;
BE IT THEREFORE ENACTED by the Municipal Council of the Township
of Pickering that
1. The salary of Lloyd T. Johnston,as Clerk-Treasurer,
be increased to $3,600. (Thirty Six Hundred Dollars) per
year,plus eight cents (8?) per mile for the use of his car
necessarily travelled while on Township business.
2. The salary of Ernest G. Baker, as Collector and Welfare
Administrator, be increased to $2,875. (Twenty-eight Hundred
and Seventy-Five Dollars) per year,plus eight cents (8?) per
mile for the use of his car necessarily travelled while on
Township business.
^-, 3. The salary of Edward K. Jones, as Assessor, be
rv increased to $2,875. (Twenty-eight hundred and Seventy-Five
Dollars) per year, and eight cents (8?) per mile for the
use of his car necessarily travelled while on Township
business.
-W104 4. The salary of Frank J. Prouse, as Building Inspector,
be increased to $2,000. (Two thousand dollars) per year, and
eight cents (8?) per mile for the use of his car necessarily
travelled while on Township business, for a four-day (thirty-two
hour) week.
-04on 5. The salary of Hilda M. Green, as Secretary, be increased
to $2,000. (Two thousand dollars) per year.
_vV? 6. The salary of Mrs. Elizabeth Robertson, as Stenographer,
be increased to $1,600. (Sixteen Hundred Dollars) per year.
7. The aforesaid increases shall be effective as of
January 1st, 1951.
Ohm B. All By-laws contrary to or inconsistent with this
By-law are hereby repealed.
