HomeMy WebLinkAboutBy-law 1231BY - LAW N ITLMB9R 831 BY-LAW TO ESTABLISH A COMMUNITY MEMORIAL ATHLETIC FIELD AND PAR[ IN THE TOWNSHIP OF PICEERING, ADJACENT TO THE POLICE YILLIAE OF CLAREMONT. The Council of the Corporation of the Township of Pickering ENACTS AS FOLLOWSi 1., The five acres of land which is owned and held by the said Corporation on the northerly part of lot Number 18 in the Eighth Concession of the Township of Pickering is hereby established as an Athletic Field, under the provisions of the Community Balls act, 1930, and amendments thoretop and in future shall be known and designated as the "Claremont Community Memorial Athletic Field and Park." 2. The said Athletic Field and Park shall be under the management and control of a Board of Management., composed of two members of this Council, to be appointed annually and to hold office until their successors are appointedp and five other members of the Board shall be appointed by the Council and shall hold office for the term of two years from the date of their appointment respectively, orountil their successors are appointed. 3. The management of the said Athletic Field and Park shall be subject to and conducted in accordance with the requirements of the said Community Halls Act, 1980, and Acts amending the same, and shall be subject to and conducted in accordance with the Regulations wbich may from time to time be approved including those already approved by the Lieutenant Governor in Council under authority of the said Act; and the said Athletic Field and Park shall be used for and available at all time for the purposes of an Athletic Field as defined in and by each Acts and Regulations. 4. The said Board pf Management may from time to time make Rules and Regulations for the government and control of the said Athletic Field and Park, subject to confirmation by this Council, provided none of such Rules and Regulations conflict with the requirements of the said Act as amended, or with the aforesaid Regulations having the approval of the Lieutenant Governor in Council. 5. The new of the said Community Memorial Athletic Field and Park shall be prominently displayed over or at the entrance gates to the same, and the Memorial Tablets which have been erected at the said entrance gates shall be there maintained and oared for for all time.
