MiTitEAS by By-Law No. 273 of the Municipal Corporation of the Pownship of
Pickering,;, passed on the 2nd day of November, 1867, the south half of
the ori,^inal allowance for road between Lots ,lumbers 12 and 13 in t'ze
Fifth Concession of said Township of Pickeri,n,; was closed and stopped
up as a public hi,hway, and was vested in one George Ballard, Senior,
the then owner of the south halves of the said Lots Numbers 12 and 13.
AND WHEREAS no conveyance of the said south half of the original allow-
ance for road between Lots Numbers 12 and 13 has ever been made to tl:e
said Geor„e Ballard, Sr., or to his heirs or assigns.
AND WBEREAS the said Geore Ballard, Sr., afterwards departed this life
intestate, bein^; at the time still the owner of the said south halfes
of Lots Numbers 1.2 and 13, excepting 30 acres off said south half of
Lot No. 12, which had been sold to one George Hicks.
AND WRPREAS the heirs-at-law of the said George Ballard, Sr., after the
death of the latter, sold and conveyed his sail lands, incluain- t;te
said south half of the original allowance for road between the said
Lots Numbers 12 and 1.3 to one Thomas Pugh.
AND 6> MI13AS the said Thomas Pu(Ih subsequently died, havi.n; first, made
and published his last. Will and Testament, w;nereby he devised the said
land unto the Executors thereof upon certain trusts.
AND W14FREAS the said George Ballard and his said successors in the title
of the said lands have had peaceable and continuous possession of the
said south half of original allowance for road ever- since tine passing
of the said By-Law Number 273 on November 2nd, 1R67.
AND WIEiMAS the sail By-Law Number 273 was rhnl.y confirmed by By-Law
Number 188 of the Council of the Corporation of the County of Ontario,
passed on the 18t1i day of June, 1868.
THEREFORE IT IS ENACTED by the Municipal Council of the Corporation of
the, Township of Pickerin,',-:
THAT the peeve and Clerk be hereby instructed, authorized and empowerel
to execute and deliver, for and on behalf of this Municipal Corporation
to David E. Pu n and Anne Pugh, the surviving Executors of the said
Thomas Pu;h, deceased, a proper and sufficient Deed in Conveyance of
the south half of the original allowance for road between Lots Nwabers
12 and 13 in the Fifth Concession of the Township of Pielcerin-, whereby
the said south portion of original allowance shall be conveyed to the
said Executors and Utei.r assigns.

THE MUNICIPAL CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF PICKERING TO THE EXECUTORS
OF THOMAS PUGH, DECEA98D, OF THE SOUTH HAIF OF THE ORIGINAL ALLOWANCE
FOR ROAD BETWEEN LOTS NUMBERS 12 AND 13 IN THE FIFTH CONCESSION OF
SAID TOWNSHIP OF PICXXRING9
by By-Law No. 273 of the Munieipal Corporation of the Township of
Pi ring, passed on the 2nd day of November, 18870 the south half of
the original allowance for road between Lots Numbers 12 and 13 in the
Fifth Concession of said Township of Pickering was closed and stopped
up as a public highway, and was vested in one George Ballard, Senior,
the than owner of the south halves of the said lots Numbers 12 and 13.

ance for road between late Numbers 12 and 13 has ever been made to the
said George Ballard, Sr., or to his heirs or assigns.
AND WHERE" the said George Ballard, Sr., afterwards departed this life
intestate, being at the time still the owner of the said south halves
of Into Numbers 12 and 13, excepting 30 acres off said south half of
lot No. 12, which had been sold to one George Hicks.
AND VMA„REAS the heirs-at-law of the said George Ballard, Sre, after the
death of the latter, sold and conveyed his said lands, including the
said south half of the original allowance for road between the said
late Numbers 12 and 13 to one Thomas Pugh.
AND W the said Thomas Pugh subsequently died, having first made
and pub i d his last Will and Testament, whereby he devised the said
land unto the Executors thereof upon certain trusts.
AMLIMEthe said George Ballard and his said successors in the title
of We--eslands have had peaceable and continuous possession of the
said south half of original allowance for road ever since the passing
of the said By-Law Number 273 on November 2nd, 1867,
??a the said By-Law Number 273 was duly confirmed by By-Law
Number 88 of the Council of the Corporation of the County of Ontario,
passed on the 18th day of June, 1888.

the ownship of Pings
THAT the Reeve and Clerk be hereby instructed, authorised and empowered
to execute and deliver, for and on behalf of this Municipal Corporation
to David E. Pugh and Anne Pugh, the surviving Executors of the said
Thomas Pugh, deceased, a proper and sufficient Deed in Conveyance of
the south half of the original allowance for road between Lots Numbers
12 and 13 in the Fifth Concession of the Township of Pickering, whereby
the said south portion of original allowance shall be conveyed to the
said Executors and their assigns.
