BY-LAW NUMBER
A By-law of the Corporation of the
Township of Pickering to stop up
and close a part of a street formerly
known as Fairport Street (now St.
Martin's Drive).

WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Township of
Pickering proposes to stop up and close as a public highway
the lands more particularly described in Schedule "Art
attached hereto;
AND WHEREAS that part of St. Martin's Drive as described in
Schedule "All attached hereto as a public roadway nor does it
appear that there is any need that it be develoed as a
public roadway;
AND WHEREAS notice of this by-law has been published once a
week for four consecutive weeks and posted up for one month
in six of the most public places in the immediate neighbour-
hood of the said public highway to be closed and the
provisions of the Municipal Act relating to the stopping up
of highways have been complied with;
NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the Township
of Pickering hereby enacts as follows:
1. The lands described in Schedule "All hereto attached are
hereby stopped up and closed as a public highway.
2, The said Schedule "All hereto attached shall form part
of this By-law.
3. For the purpose of illustration only a plan showing
the lands described in Schedule "At' coloured in red
and referred to as Schedule "B" is attached hereto and
shall form part of this By-law.

SCHEDULE ttAtt
ALL AND SINGULAR that certain parcel or tract of land and
premises situate, lying and being in the Township of Pickering,
in the County of Ontario and Province of Ontario, being
composed of part of a street formerly known as Fairport
Street, according to a plan registered in the Registry Office
for the Registry Division for the County of Ontario as Number
239, and which said street is now known as St. Martin's Drive
as named by By-law Number 3161, which said parcel of land
containing by admeasurement an area of 0.676 acres be the
same more or less, is more particularly described as follows:
PREMISING that all bearings herein are astronomic and are
referred to the North 17 degrees, 09 minutes, 00 seconds West
of the Westerly limit of Block Y according to a plan filed in
the Land Titles Office at Whitby as Number M-16;
COMMENCING at an iron bar marking the Northeasterly angle of
Block F according to the said Registered Plan No. 239;
THENCE South 17 degrees, 09 minutes, 00 seconds East, along
the Easterly limit of Block F, being also the westerly limit of
St. Martin's Drive, 469.03 feet more or less to an iron bar
marking the Southeasterly angle of the said Block F;
THENCE North 30 degrees, 45 minutes, 10 seconds East, $$.94
feet more or less to an iron bar marking the Southwesterly
angle of Block Y as shown on the said Plan Number M-16;
THENCE North 17 degrees, 09 minutes, 00 seconds West, along
the Westerly limit of Block Y, being also the Easterly limit
of St. Martin's Drive, 422.90 feet more or less to an iron bar
found planted;
THENCE South 61 degrees, 18 minutes, 15 seconds West, 67.36
feet more or less to the point of commencement.
