A By-law of the Corporation of the
Township of Pickering to authorize
the execution by the Reeve and Clerk
of an agreement between the Canadian
Red Cross Society, Pickering Township
and Village Branch, and the Corporation
of the Township of Pickering.
WHEREAS The Homemakers and Nurses Services Act, R.S.O.
1960, Chapter 173 as amended by 1968-1969 Chapter 46 and
regulations thereunder as amended provides that the Council
of a Township may enter into agreement with any organization
that is approved by the Minister under which the organization
undertakes to furnish Homemakers or Nurses, or both, for the
purposes of this Act.
AND WHEREAS The Canadian Red Cross Society, Pickering
Township and Village Branch, has agreed to provide Homemakers
Services under the said Act.
NOW THEREFORE the Municipal Council of the Township ENACTS
AS FOLLOWS:
1. That the Township enter into an agreement with the
Canadian Red Cross Society, Pickering Township and
Village Branch, for them to undertake to furnish
Homemakers Services as provided under the said Act and
Regulations, and that the Reeve and the Clerk be authorized
to sign such agreement on behalf of the Corporation.
By-Law #2448 be and the same is hereby repealed.
