HomeMy WebLinkAboutBy-law 4441/73THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF PICKERING BY-LAW NUMBER f? ?l LF 1.?j A by-law of the Corporation of the Township of Pickering to stop up, close, and sell Part of Blocks G and R, Plan 331. WHEREAS Gordon and Gloria Kirk have requested the Township to close and sell that part of the road allowance being part of Blocks G and R, Plan 331, more particularly described in Schedule "A" attached hereto; AND WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Pickering proposes to stop up, close, and sell as a public highway the lands described in Schedule "A"; AND WHEREAS notice of this by-law has been published once a week for four consecutive weeks and posted up for one month in six of the most public places in the immediate neighbourhood of the said public highway to be closed and the provisions of the municipal Act relating to the stopping-up and selling of a highway have been complied with, as provided for under the Municipal Act, R.S.O. 1970, Chap. 284, Sec. 443 (1) (c) (3) (d); NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Pickering hereby enacts as follows: 1. The lands described in Schedule "A" hereto attached are hereby stopped up and closed as a public highway. 2. The lands described in Schedule "A" hereto attached will be sold to the abutting owners for the nominal fee of $2.00. 3. The said Schedule "A" hereto attached shall form a part of this by-law. 4. For the purpose of illustration only a plan showing the lands described in Schedule "A" coloured in red and referred to as Schedule "B" is attached hereto and shall form part of this by-law. Y Z.?r y?C?2d,(1 /' ?•?•j 1ifC1 3 _? .. , i Ole w SCHEDULE "A" G at the north-east angle of Lot 93 as shown on said Plan No. 331; THENCE south-westerly along the north-westerly limit of the said Lot 93 on a circular curve to the left having a radius of 250.0 feet,a chord distance of 80.17 feet; THENCE continuing along said circular curve to a point of intersection with a line drawn parallel to the east limit of Lot 109 as shown on said Plan and distant easterly therefrom 66.0 feet measured at right angles thereto, a chord distance of 68.36 feet more or less; THENCE northerly along-said parallel line to a point of inter- section with a line drawn parallel to the south limit of Lot 92 as shown on said Plan and distant southerly therefrom 66.0 feet measured at right angles thereto, a distance of 97.65 feet more or less.
