A by-law of the Corporation of
the Township of Pickering to
stop up, close, and sell Sideline
28/29 in Range II, Broken Front
Concession.
WHEREAS the Metropolitan Toronto and Region Conservation
Authority has requested the Township to close and sell
that part of the road allowance between Lots 28 and 29,
in Range II, Broken Front Concession, more particularly
described in Schedule "A" attached hereto;
AND WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Township
of Pickering proposes to stop up, close, and sell as a
public highway the lands described in Schedule "A";
AND WHEREAS notice of this by-law has been published once
a week for four consecutive weeks and posted up for one
month in six of the most public places in the immediate
neighbourhood of the said public highway to be closed and
the provisions of the municipal Act relating to the
stopping-up and selling of a highway have been complied
with, as provided for under The Municipal Act, R.S.O.
1970, Chap. 284, Sec. 443 (1) (c) (3) (d);
NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the Township
of Pickering hereby enacts as follows:
1. The lands described in Schedule "A" hereto attached
are hereby stopped up and closed as a public highway.
2. The lands described in Schedule "A" hereto attached
will be sold to the abutting owners for the nominal
fee of $2.00 (Two Dollars) (Metropolitan Toronto and
Region Conservation Authority). ?r
3. The said Schedule "A" hereto attached shall form a
part of this by-law.
4. For the purpose of illustration only a plan showing
the lands described in Schedule "A" coloured
in red and referred to as Schedule "B" is attached
hereto and shall form part of this By-law.

SCHEDULE "A" to By-law #???C /.?
ALL AND SINGULAR that certain parcel or tract of land and
premises situate, lying and being in the Township of
Pickering in the County of Ontario and Province of Ontario
and being composed of the Allowance for Road between Lots
28 and 29 in Range 2 Broken Front Concession in the said
Township and the Limits of which said parcel of land may
be more particularly described as follows;
PREMISING that the Southerly Limit of Lot 28 in Concession
3 Broken Front Concession has a course of North 72045'50"
East and relating all bearings herein thereto;
COMMENCING at a Survey Monument at the South West Angle of
said Lot 28 in Concession 3 Broken Front Concession;
THENCE South 16°57'05" to and along the Westerly Limit of
said Lot 28 in Concession 2 Broken Front Concession 1614
Feet to the High Water Mark of Lake Ontario;
THENCE South Westerly along the said High Water Mark 81
Feet more or less to its intersection with the Easterly
Limit of said Lot 29;
THENCE North 16°57'05" West along the Easterly Limit of
said Lot 29 and its production Northerly 1660.43 Feet to
a Survey Monument at the South East Angle of Lot 29 in
Range 3 Broken Front Concession;
THENCE North 72°45'00" East 66.00 Feet to the point of
commencement;
THE HEREINDESCRIBED parcel of land is further shown outlined
on a Plan of Survey prepared by W. N. Wildman, Ontario Land
Surveyors, dated the lst day of February 1973 and hereto
attached.
