HomeMy WebLinkAboutBy-law 4352/73THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF PICKERING BY-LAW NUMBER j-> Z j Being a by-law to establish a Community Centre in the Township of Pickering. WHEREAS permission is made for the establishment of Community Centres in Ontario under the Community Centres Act, R.S.O., 1970, Chapter 73 Section 4 (1); AND WHEREAS the Council of the Township of Pickering deems it desirable to establish a Community Centre in Part of Lots 133 and 134 of Registered Plan 284 of the Township of Pickering; AND WHEREAS the Council of the Township of Pickering has acquired under a 25 year and 3 month lease agreement, two acres and building for the purpose of developing same into a Community Hall at an annual rental fee of $1.00; AND WHEREAS the said lease agreement is between the Corporation of the Township of Pickering and Melford Developments Inc.; BE IT THEREFORE ENACTED by the Council of the Township of Pickering: 1. THAT a Community Centre defined as a Community Hall as provided for under the Community Centres Act, R.S.O., 1970, and regulations thereunder be established in part of Lots 133 and 134 of Registered Plan 284 of the Township of Pickering. 2. THAT the Community Centre shall be maintained as a Community Hall by the Council in conformity with the Act and regulations made thereunder. 3. THAT the said Community Hall will be known as the West Rouge Community Centre. 4. By-law 4213/72 is hereby repealed.
