Being a by-law for limiting the
number of !Automobile Service
Stations and Public garages.
IdP1EREAS paragraph 133 of Section 354 (1) of the `lunicipal 1r_t, R.S.O. 1)71 c.
2.;4 and the amendments thereto provides that ?y-La+ms may ue passed for
limiting the number of automobile service stations and Public Garages.
0id THEREFORE be it enacted as follows:
1. DEFIAIT MIS - Automobile Service Stations
For the purpose of this 3y-Law an "Automobile Service Station"
shall mean a building or place where gasoline, oil, grease, anti-
freeze, tires, tubes, tire accessories, electric light bulbs,
sparkplugs and batteries for motor vehicles are stored or kept
for sale, or where motor vehicles may be oiled, greased or washed,
or have their ignition adjusted, tires inflated or•botteries
charged, or where only minor or running repairs essential to the
actual operation of motor vehicles are executed or performed.
A. The number of automobile stations which may be operated or used
in the Township of Pickering is limited to 44 being those
listed in Appendix "A" and shown on Schedule 1 attached hereto.
2. DEFMITIOMS - Public Garages
For the purposes of this by-law, "Public Garage" shall mean a
parking station or a parking lot or a building or place where
motor vehicles are hired or kept or used for hire and/or where
such vehicles are stored or kept for sale; or building or place
used as a motor vehicles repair shop.
A. The number of public garages whic'i may be operated or used in
the Township of Pickering is limited to __ZB__being those listed
in Appendix 3 and shown on Schedule 1 attached hereto.
3. That the said Automobile Service Stations and Public garages as
listed in Appendix "A" and shown on Schedules 1 & 2 attached
hereto are regulated by By-Law ;Y
3. That By-Laws 4154/72 and 4255/72 are hereby repealed.
