A by-law of the Corporation of.the
Township of Pickering to stop up and
close a part of a road known as Notion
Road (formerly Station Road).
WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Township
of Pickering proposes to stop up and close a portion of
sideline 16-17 in Concession I, more particularly
described as Part I on a Department of Transportation
and Communications Plan of Survey P-2310-145 and deposited
in the Registry Office of the County of Ontario as Plan
40-R-675, dated January 28th, 1972, as prepared by Ronald
A. Logan, O.L.S.
AND WHEREAS that part of Notion Road as shown as Part I
of Plan P-2310-145 is required as a 1 foot reserve to
Highway 401;
AND WHEREAS notice of this by-law has been published once
a week for four consecutive weeks and posted up for one
month in six of the most public places in the immediate
neighbourhood of the said public highway to be closed,
and the provisions of the Municipal Act relating to the
stopping up and closing of highways have been complied
with;
NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the
Township of Pickering hereby ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
