Being a by-law to authorize the
execution of a lease agreement
between the Metropolitan Toronto and
Region Conservation Authority and the
Township of Pickering.
WHEREAS the Authority has acquired flood plain and
Conservation lands, being parts of Lots 22 and 23,
Concession 2, part of the closed Road Allowance
between Lots 22 and 23, and part of the closed Road
Allowance between Concessions 2 and 3, in the
Township of Pickering and comprised of approximately
102.4 acres;
AND WHEREAS the Township of Pickering is desirous of
using certain lands in the vicinity of Valley Farm
Road;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT ENACTED that the Reeve and Clerk
be authorized to execute an agreement dated April 17,
1972, leasing the Grand Valley Park, for use as a
Day Camp, for Scouts, Guides, Brownies, Cub outdoor
camping, wildlife clubs and for snowmobiling.
