Being a by-law to establish
a Day Nursery
WHEREAS the Day Nurseries Act, R.S.O., 1970, Chapter 104
provides that the Council of a Municipality may by by-law
provide for the establishment of Day Nurseries.
AND WHEREAS it is deemed advisable and expedient that
the Corporation of the Township of Pickering provide for
the establishment of Day Nurseries.
NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the
Township of Pickering ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. THAT the establishment of a Day Nursery by the
Corporation of the Township of Pickering be and
the same is hereby authorized and the officers of
the Corporation of the Township of Pickering are
authorized and directed to do all things necessary
to establish and operate such nursery in accordance
with the Council's policies in that behalf and
in accordance with The Day Nurseries Act, R.S.O.,
1970, Chapter 104 and all amendments and
regulations thereto.
By-law read a First, Second and Third Time and PASSED
in open Council this /O day of January, 1972.
