BY-LAW NUMBER
Being a by-law to re-define Wards
within the Town of Pickering
WHEREAS the Municipal Act, R.S.O. 1970, Chapter 284,
Section 13 (2) provides that the Council of a local
Municipality may apply to the Ontario Municipal Board
for the division of the Municipality into Wards;
AND WHEREAS as a result of increased population within
the Town of Pickering it is deemed advisable to re-define {
the Ward boundaries within the Town. TOWN OF PICKERIN..A'

BE IT THEREFORE ENACTED THAT:
1. The Town of Pickering shall be divided in
three Wards, the boundaries of which are
precisely defined in Schedule "A" attach
and forming part of this By-law.

WARD BOUNDARIES
Ward 1 Commencing at a point being the south west angle
of Lot 35,,Concession 1; . r
Thence easterly in a straight line along the
northerly boundary of Sheppard Avenue to the south-
east angle of Lot 30;
Thence northerly along the easterly limit of Lot
30 to the north-east angle of Lot 30, Concession 2;
Thence easterly along the road allowance between
Concessions 2 and 3 to the north-east angle of Lot 27,
Concession 2;
Thence southerly following the lot line between
lots 26 and 27, Concessions 2 and 1 to a point
where it intersects the northerly limit of Sheppard
Avenue;
Thence easterly along the northerly limit of Sheppard
Avenue to a point where it intersects the southerly
limits of Canadian National Railway,,s right-of-way;
Thence easterly along the southerly boundary of the
Canadian'National Railways right-of-way to a point
where it intersects the south-west angle of Lot 24,
Concession 1;
Thence southerly along the lot line between Lots 24
and 25 B.F.R.III td a.point in the north limit of
Frenchman's Bay;
Thence south-easterly following the east and south
shore of Frenchman's Bay to a point in the north
shore of Lake Ontario;
Thence south in a straight line parallel to the
west boundary of the Township of 'Pickering to the
International Boundary between Canada and the
United States of America;
Thence westerly following the said International
Boundary to the intersection of a line having the
same course as the west boundary of the Township of
Pickering drawn southerly from the mouth of the
Rouge River at Lake Ontario;
Thence northerly on the same course as the west
boundary of the said Township to the mouth of the
said Rouge River;
Thence north-westerly following the middle of the
main channels of the Rouge River and the Little
Rouge Creek to the west boundary of the Township
of Pickering;
Thence northerly following the west boundary of
the.Township of Pickering to the south-west angle
of Lot 35, Concession1 being the point of commencement.

Ward 2 Commencing at the north-west angle of Lot 26,
Concession 2;
Thence southerly following the lot line between
Lots 26 and 27, Concessions 1 and 2 to a point
where it intersects the northerly limit of Sheppard
Avenue;
Thence easterly along the northerly limit of
Sheppard Avenue to a point where it intersects
the southerly limits of the Canadian National Railways
right-of-way;
Thence easterly along the southerly boundary of the
Canadian National Railways right-of-way to a point
where it intersects the south-west angle of Lot-24,
Concession 1;
Thence southerly along the lot line between lots
25 and 24 B.F.R. III to a point in the north limit
of Frenchman's Bay;
Thence south-easterly following the east and south
shore of Frenchman's Bay to a point in the north
shore of Lake Ontario;

Thence northery and westerly along the boundary
between the area municipality of the Town of Ajax
and the area municipality of the Town of Pickering
to a point where it intersects the northerly limits
of Provincial Highway number 401;
Thence south-westerly along t-he northerly limit of
Provincial Highway number 401 to its intersection
with the westerly limit of Lot 23;
Thence northerly in the same course as the east
boundary of Lot 24 to a point at the northerly
limit of Provincial Highway number 2;
Thence north-easterly along the north boundary
of Provincial Highway number 2 to the south-east
corner of Lot 20 Registered Plan 489;
Thence northerly along the easterly limit of Lot 20
in Registered Plan 489 and continuing northerly
along the western limits of Registered Plan 492 and
521 to the southerly limits of Finch Avenue;
Thence westerly along the southerly limits of Finch
Avenue to the south-east corner of Lot 24;
Thence northerly along the easterly boundary of
