BY-LAW NUMBER X70 -7?
Being a by-law to amend Restricted
Area By-law 3036 as amended.
WHEREAS By-laws 4166/72 and 4205/72 were passed by the
Corporation of the Township of Pickering to amend the
provisions of Restricted Area By-law 3036, as amended
which placed holding zones on certain areas outlined
therein;
AND WHEREAS Ontario Municipal Board approval was never
obtained for By-laws 4166/72 or 4205/72;
AND WHEREAS it is deemed expedient to permit development
to now occur on the lands affected by By-laws 4166/72 and
4205/72;
NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the Town
of Pickering HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. The property which is shown in Schedule "A" attached
hereto being the northerly 131 + feet of the
easterly 153 + feet of Lot 31, Plan 509 and which
had been zone3 "(H)R3" by By-law 4205/72 is hereby
zoned Residential Third Density "R3" as shown on
Item I of Schedule "A" attached hereto.
2. The property which is shown in Schedule "A" attached
hereto, being the southerly 153 + feet of the easterly
153 + feet of lot 31, Plan 509 and which had been
zoned "(H)R3" by By-law 4205/72 is hereby rezoned
to Residential Fourth Density "R4" as shown on Item II
of Schedule "A" attached hereto.
3. That By-law 3036 be and the same is hereby amended
only to the extent necessary to give effect to the
provisions of this By-law.
4. No part of this By-law shall come into force without
the approval of the Ontario Municipal Board, but
subject to such approval, the By-law shall take
effect from the date of passing thereof.
