BY-LAW NUMBER a017,
Being a by-law to allow a uniform
credit in respect to real property
taxes to certain elderly residents
and to amend By-law Number 185/75
WHEREAS By-law Number 185/75 allows Council to authorize
a tax credit for certain elderly residents provided they
qualify; and
WHEREAS it is deemed expedient to amend the date on
which applications for assistance shall be received
by the Municipality.
BE IT THEREFORE ENACTED that Clause 1, Sub Section (c)
shall be amended as follows:
(c) shall be allowed to any person who has not
made written application therefor to the
Corporation on the forms provided verified
by statutory declaration, to the Clerk of
the Corporation on or before the last day of
October in the year 1975 and the last day of
July in each succeeding year, in which the
taxes in respect of which such application
is made become due and payable.
By-law read a first, second and third time and PASSED this
