HomeMy WebLinkAboutBy-law 502/76THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF PICKERING BY-LAW NUMBER S ?x -tL Being a By-law of the Corporation of the Town of Pickering to amend By-law 4049/71 relating to certain cemeteries in the Town of Pickering WHEREAS certain cemeteries in the former Township of Pickering became the property of the Township of Pickering pursuant to the provisions of The Cemeteries Act, R.S.O. 1970, c.57, s.62; and WHEREAS the establishment of the Regional Municipality of Durham modified the boundaries of the former Township of Pickering and the cemeteries situated in the following locations are no longer within the jurisdiction of the Town of Pickering: Concession 1, Part Lot 12; Concession 2, Part Lot 5; AND WHEREAS the Province of Ontario has expropriated the cemetery at the following location: Concession 4, Part Lot 19 .56 acres NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF PICKERING HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS: 1. Section 1 of By-law 4049 is revoked and the following substituted therefor: 1. Concession 1, part of the north half of Lot 19 - .85 acres Concession 2, part of the north half of Lot 18 - .50 acres Concession 5, part of the south half of Lot 20 - 1.00 acres Concession 6, part of the north half of Lot 21 - .58 acres Concession 7, part of the north half of Lot 24 - 1.00 acres Concession 9, part of the north half of Lot 33 - .50 acres Concession 9, part of the south half of Lot 12 - .56 acres 2. Section 2 of By-law 4049 is revoked and the following substituted therefor: 2. Pursuant to the provisions to The Cemeteries Act, R.S.O. 1970, c.57, s.69, the Cemetery Board of the Town of Pickering shall comprise all Members of Council. -z- 3. This By-law shall become effective on the date on which it is approved by the Ministry of Consumer and Commercial Relations. By-law read a first, second time this /-o' day of `n'om !4_ , 1976.
