BY-LAW NUMBER 3-7 -7 '
A by-law of the Corporation of the Town of
Pickering to stop up, close, and sell Sideline
16/17 in Range II, Broken Front Concession,
and part of Range III, B.F.C. Road.
(Squires Beach Road/Montgomery Park Road)
WHEREAS the Ontario Ministry of the Environment has requested the
Town to close and sell that part of the road allowance between
Lots 16 and 17, in Range II, Broken Front Concession, and part of
Range III, B.F.C. Road in Lot 16, more particularly described as
Parts 1 and 2 of Plan 40R-2593 as deposited with the Land Registrar
of the Registry Division of Durham (No. 40);
AND WHEREAS the Council of the Town of Pickering has entered into
an agreement with the Ontario Ministry of the Environment and the
Metropolitan Toronto and Region Conservation Authority to stop up,
close, and sell certain public highways;
AND WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Pickering
proposes to stop up, close, and sell as a public highway the lands
described in schedule "A";
AND WHEREAS the provisions of The Municipal Act relating to the
stopping up and selling of a highway have been complied with, as
provided for under The Municipal Act, R.S.O. 1970, Chap. 284, Sec.
443 (1) (c) (3) (d) ;
NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Pickering
hereby enacts as follows:
1. The lands described in Schedule "A" as Parts 1 and 2 of Plan
40R-2593, hereto attached are hereby stopped up and closed as
a public highway.
2. The lands described in Schedule "A" hereto attached will be
sold to the abutting owners for the nominal fee of $2.00 (Two
Dollars).
3. The said Schedule "A" hereto attached shall form a part of this
by-law.
4. For the purpose of illustration only a plan showing the lands
described in Schedule "A" and referred to as Schedule "B" is
attached hereto and shall form part of this by-law.

SCHEDULE "A" TO BY-LAW #?
All and singular those certain parcels or tracts of land
and premises situate, lying and being in the Town of
Pickering in the Region of Durham and Province of
Ontario and being composed of the Allowance for Road
between Lots 16 and 17 in Range II, Broken Front
Concession, and the Allowance for Road between Range II
and Range III, Broken Front Concession in Lot 16, in
the said Town, and the limits of which parcels of land
may be more particularly described as Part 1 and Part 2
of Plan 40R-2593 as deposited with the Land Registrar
of the Registry Division of Durham (No. 40).
