BY-LAW NUMBER 809/78
Being a By-Law to extend half-load
restrictions upon certain public high-
ways until May 15, 1978
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of subsection 10 of
section 77 of The Highway Traffic Act, R.S.O. 1970, chapter
202, as amended by S.O. 1977, chapter 65, section 3, a
municipal corporation may declare the provisions of sub-
sections 5, 7 and 13 of section 77 of the said Act, as
amended, to apply to highways under its jurisdiction
during any period of the year;
AND WHEREAS it is deemed expedient to declare such pro-
visions to apply to certain hgihways under the jurisdiction
of the Corporation of the Town of Pickering for the period
from May 1, 1978 to May 15, 1978, inclusive;
NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the Town
of Pickering HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. The provisions of subsections 5, 7 and 13 of section 77
of The Highway Traffic Act, R.S.O. 1970, chapter 202, as
amended by S.O. 1977, chapter 65, section 3, are hereby
declared to apply to all those highways,
(a) under the jurisdiction of the Corporation of the
Town of Pickering; and
(b) located in or immediately adjacent to Concessions
6, 7, 8 or 9 of the Town of Pickering,
from May 1, 1978 to May 15, 1978, inclusive.
By-Law read a first, second and third time and finally passed
this 1st day of May , 1978.
