BY-LAW NUMBER 800/78
Being a By-law to authorize the erection
of a Firehall on Part of Lot 30, Range 3,
Broken Front Concession (Part 1, Plan
40R-3552), Town of Pickering, at an
estimated cost of $375,000.00, to be
financed from the "Lot Development Fee-
Reserve Fund".
WHEREAS pursuant to the provisions of paragraph 25 of
subsection 1 of section 354 of The Municipal Act, R.S.O. 1970,
c. 284, the Council of a local municipality may pass a by-law
for erecting a Firehall;
AND WHEREAS it is desirable that a Firehall be erected on
that Part of Lot 30, Range 3, Broken Front Concession, Town of
Pickering, designated as Part 1 on Plan 40R-3552, for the pro-
tection of residents in the Rosebank area;
AND WHEREAS the cost of such erection is estimated at
$375,000.00
AND WHEREAS by Resolution No. 91/77 the Council of the Cor-
poration of the Town of Pickering has resolved that the cost of
erection be financed with funds obtained from the "Lot Development
Fees - Reserve Fund";
NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF
PICKERING HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. The erection of a Firehall on that Part of Lot 30, Range 3,
Broken Front Concession, Town of Pickering, designated as
Part 1, Plan 40R-3552, at an estimated cost of $375,000.00
is hereby authorized.
2. The cost of erection of the said Firehall shall be financed
with funds obtained from the "Lot Development Fees - Reserve
Fund".
3. By-law 614/77 is hereby repealed.
By-law read a first, second and third time and PASSED
this First day of May , 1978.
