BY-LAW NO. 1024/79
Being a By-Law to appoint the members of
the Pickering Hydro-Electric Commission
for the term June 22nd, 1979 to November
30th, 1982, both inclusive.
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of subsections 4
and 10 of section 2 of The Durham Municipal Hydro-Electric
Service Act, 1979, S.O. 1979, c.71, the Mayor of the Town
of Pickering and four additional members appointed by the
Council of the Town shall comprise the Pickering Hydro-
Electric Commission for the term commencing June 22nd,
1979 and expiring on November 30th, 1982; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of subsection 20
of section 2 of the said Act, the Council of the Town may,
by by-law passed with the written consent of the Mayor,
appoint a delegate from among the members of Council to
represent the Major on the Commission; and
WHEREAS, it is now deemed expedient to appoint the
four additional members and a delegate to represent the
Mayor;
NOW THEREFORE, the Council of the Corporation of the
Town of Pickering HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. The following persons are hereby appointed as
members of the Pickering Hydro-Electric Com-
mission for the term commencing on the 22nd
day of June, 1979 and expiring with the 30th
day of November, 1982:
Mr. David W. Burrows,
Mr. Donald F. Given,
Mr. Robert E. Gregory,
Mr. D. A. Murray Wilson.
2. Councillor Donald W. Kitchen is hereby appointed
as the delegate to represent Mayor John E.
Anderson on the said Commission for the term
commencing on the 22nd day of June, 1979 and
expiring with the day upon which either of
them ceases to hold his respective elected
office.
3. This By-Law is passed with the written consent
of the Mayor, attached hereto as Schedule "A"
to this By-Law.

I hereby consent to the passage of By-Law No. 1024/79,
appointing Councillor Donald W. Kitchen as a delegate to
represent me on the Pickering Hydro-Electric Commission
for the term commencing on the 22nd day of June, 1979 and
expiring with the day upon which either Councillor Kitchen
or myself ceases to hold our respective elected office.
