BY-LAW 1097/80
Being By-Law of the Corporation
of the Town of Pickering to stop
up parts of Sheppard Avenue and
to authorize the sale of same to
abutting property owners.
WHEREAS pursuant to the provisions of subsection 1 of section
443 of The Municipal Act, R.S.O. 1970, chapter 284, the Council
of any municipality may pass By-Laws to stop up a highway or
part thereof and to sell parts of stopped-up highways;
AND WHEREAS it is deemed expedient to stop up those parts of
Sheppard Avenue designated as Parts 42 - 63, 68 - 79 and
87 - 112 on Plan of Reference 40R-4433;
AND WHEREAS notice of this By-Law has been published once a
week for four consecutive weeks and the provisions of The
Municipal Act relating to the stopping-up of a highway have
been complied with;
NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the Town of
Pickering HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. The lands described in Schedule "A" attached hereto are
hereby stopped-up as public highway.
2. The lands described in Schedule "A" attached hereto
shall be offered for sale to the abutting property owners
at a price fixed at $2.00 per Part.
3. This By-Law shall not take effect until approved by the
Regional Municipality of Durham and registered in the
Registry Office for the Registry Division of Durham.
By-Law read a first and second time this Third day of
March 1980.

Schedule "A" to By-Law 1097/80
ALL AND SINGULAR those certain parcels or tracts of land and
premises situate, lying and being in the Town of Fickering in
the Regional Municipality of Durham and Province of Ontario,
and being composed of,
FIRSTLY, those parts of Lot 10, according to a plan registered
in the Registry Office for the Registry Division of Durham as
Plan 221, designated as Parts 42, 43 and 44 on a plan of survey
of record filed in the said Office as Flan 40R-4433;
SECONDLY, those parts of Lot 9, according to the said Flan 221,
designated as Parts 45, 46, 47 and 48 on the said Plan 40R-4433;
THIRDLY, those parts of Lots 6 and 9, according to the said
Plan 221, designated as Part 49 on the said Flan 40R-4433;

designated as Parts 50, 51 and 52 on the said Plan 40R-4433;
FIFTHLY, those parts of Lot 7, according to the said Plan 221,

SIXTHLY, those parts of Lot 30, Concession 1, Town of Pickering,
des- g ted as Parts 55, 56, 57, 56, 59, 60, 61, 62, and 63 on
the said Plan 40R-4433;
SLVENTHLY, those parts of Lot 31, Concession 1, Town of Fickering,
designated as Parts 68, 69, 70, 71, 72, 73, 74, 75, 76, 77, 76 and
79 on the said Plan 40R-4433;
EIGHTHLY, those parts of Lot 33, Concession 1, Town Fickering,
designated as Parts 87, 88, 89, 90, 91, 92, 93, 94, 95, 96 and
97 on the said Plan 40R-4433;
NINTHLY, those parts of Lot 7, according to a plan registered in
the sid office as Plan 282, designated as Farts 98, 99, 100 and
101 on the said Plan 40R-4433; and
TLNTHLY, those parts of Lot 1, according to the said Plan 282,
