BY-LAW NUMBER 1407/81
Being a by-law to repeal By-law Number
1404/81 to authorize an application to
the Ontario Municipal Board for an Order
to dissolve all of the Wards in the Town
of Pickering for the purpose of the elec-
tion of those Councillors who are members
of both the Council of the Town of
Pickering and the Regional Municipality
of Durham.
WHEREAS by By-law Number 1404/81 enacted on November 16, 1981,
the Town Clerk was authorized and directed to apply to the
Ontario Municipal Board, on behalf of the Corporation of the
Town of Pickering, for an Order to dissolve all of the wards
in the municipality for the purpose of the election of those
members of the Corporation's Council who are both members
of the Council of the Corporation and of the Regional Council,
which dissolution is to take effect for the municipal elections
to be held on November 8, 1982 and for all subsequent municipal
elections; and
WHEREAS the Council does not wish to proceed with this appli-
cation at this time;
NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the Town of
Pickering HEREBY ENACTS as follows:

1. By-law Number 1404/88 is hereby repealed.
BY-LAW READ a first, second and third time and finally PASSED
this 7th day of December, 1981.
