BY-LAW NO. 1390/81
Being a By-Law of the Corporation of the
Town of Pickering to amend By-Law 1097/80
stopping up parts of Sheppard Avenue and
authorizing the sale of same to abutting
property owners
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of subsection 1 of section 443 of
the Municipal Act, R.S.O. 1970, chapter 284, the Council of the Cor-
poration of the Town of Pickering, on April 8th, 1980, enacted By-Law
1097/80 stopping up those parts of Sheppard Avenue designated as
Parts 42-63, 68-79 and 87-112, Plan 40R-4433, and authorizing the
sale of such lands to abutting property owners; and
WHEREAS, the said By-Law was registered in the Registry Office for
the Registry Division of Durham (No. 40) on April 14th, 1980 as
Instrument No. D106177; and
WHEREAS, section 3 of the said By-Law provided in part that the By-
Law "shall not take effect until approved by the Regional Municipal-
ity of Durham", which approval is not required by law; and
WHEREAS, it is therefore deemed expedient to amend By-Law 1098/80;
NOW THEREFORE, the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Pickering
HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. Section 3 of By-Law 1097/80 enacted on April 8th, 1980, is hereby
amended by deleting therefrom the phrase "approved by the Regional
Municipality of Durham and".
2. The lands affected by By-Law 1097/80, and therefore affected by
this By-Law, are those lands more particularly described in
Schedule "A" attached hereto.
3. This By-Law shall not take effect until registered in the Registry
Office for the Registry Division of Durham.
READ a first, second and third time and finally passed this 2nd day
of November , 1981.

ALL AND SINGULAR those certain parcels or tracts of land and premises
situate, lying and being in the Town of Pickering, in the Regional
Municipality of Durham and Province of Ontario and being composed of,
FIRSTLY, those parts of Lot 10, according to a plan registered in the
Registry Office for the Registry Division of Durham as Plan 221, des-
ignated as Parts 42, 43 and 44 on a plan of survey of record filed in
the said Office as Plan 40R-4433;
SECONDLY, those parts of Lot 9, according to the said Plan 221, desig-
nated as Parts 45, 46, 47 and 48 on the said Plan 40R-4433;
THIRDLY, those parts of Lots 8 and 9, according to the said Plan 221,
designated as Part 49 on the said Plan 40R-4433;
FOURTHLY, those parts of Lot 8, according to the said Plan 221, desig-
nated as Parts 50, 51 and 52 on the said Plan 40R-4433;
FIFTHLY, those parts of Lot 7, according to the said Plan 221, desig-
nated as Parts 53 and 54 on the said Plan 40R-4433;
SIXTHLY, those parts of Lot 30, Concession 1, Town of Pickering, desig-
nated as Parts 55, 56, 57, 58, 59, 60, 61, 62 and 63 on the said Plan
40R-4433;
SEVENTHLY, those parts of Lot 31, Concession 1, Town of Pickering,
designated as Parts 68, 69, 70, 71, 72, 73, 74, 75, 76, 77, 78 and
79 on the said Plan 40R-4433;
EIGHTHLY, those parts of Lot 33, Concession 1, Town of Pickering,
designated as Parts 87, 88, 89, 90, 91, 92, 93, 94, 95, 96 and 97
on the said Plan 40R-4433;
NINTHLY, those parts of Lot 7, according to a plan registered in the
said Office as Plan 282, designated as Parts 98, 99, 100 and 101 on
the said Plan 40R-4433; and
TENTHLY, those parts of Lot 1, according to the said Plan 282, desig-
nated as Parts 102, 103, 104, 105, 106, 107, 108, 109, 110, 111 and
112 on the said Plan 40R-4433.
